Leaves

As you can see, we incorporate a lot of leaves into our Fall seasonal crafts, but you can just as easily make whatever you like as the "extra finishing touch".
Flowers are good on wreaths and such, and berries (like kernels) are easy and quick color to a project. Sometimes they can get messy, though, so honestly, you can do just about anything you need to make your projects stand out.

We have many fake leaves to use, so we make Fall crafts from them usually...

Fall Burlap Candles

And...finally for Fall today, we have our Fall burlap candles, which are incredible easy.

What You Need:
 - Burlap
 - Candle(s)
 - Twine
 - Scissors

How to Make Them:
 1. Wrap burlap around candle once, then cut of extra end.
 2. Tie twine around the candle twice and tie in knot when your ends meet.
 3. Set candle on table, or wherever you prefer, and there you go!

(The picture is a little dark, but I hope you can see the candles really well...)

Fall Leaves Mod-Podge Mason Jar

Who doesn't love Fall???? I mean, I'm so glad I get to post these Fall decor ideas, and this is just one of many.

Mod-Podge is actually both hard and easy once you know how to do it.

Basically, your first step is to gather up your supplies. Here's what you need, and make sure you have enough leaves...
 - Fall leaves (you can get these at Walmart or any other store like Walmart)
 - A mason jar
 - Mod-Podge
 - Sponge brush
 - Paper plates

For extra decoration, you can add...
 - A candle, for the inside
 - Kernels
 - Twine

Here's how you make it:
 1. To be clean with you work, place your Mod-Podge on top of a paper plate.
 2. Now take one of your fall leaves, and once you know where you want it on the jar, place the leaf on the area of your choice and carefully Mod-Podge over it using the sponge brush.
 3. Now repeat process until the entire jar is covered in Mod-Podged leaves.

 (Here's a tip!)
Mod-Podge will dry the way you stroke the sponge brush across the leaves, so be sure to make clean, neat strokes with your brush. Mod-Podge also dries quickly, so don't be too meticulous. The finished result will be Ok. If it doesn't turn out the way you want, you can easily Mod-Podge over it again.

(Extra)
 4. After your mason jar has completely dried, you can now pour you kernels into the jar - but be sure to NOT fill it completely.
 5. Now place candle (preferably a small one) on top of the kernels, and make sure everything is snug and tidy, so the candle won't move around much.
 6. With twine, wrap around the top of the mason jar and tie in a small knot or bow, of your choice.

When you're finished, you can marvel at it, if you want. I know I did. They're really pretty and yet simple at the same time. So there you have it. Mason Jar Mod-Podge.

Fall Pumpkin TP

So Teresa got creative and logged into Pinterest to see what cute ideas for Fall decorations she could do. These Fall pumpkins were a few of the first that she carried out...

Here's what you need to make these:
 - Roll(s) of toilet paper
 - Any decorations of your choice - (we chose leaves)
 - Thin sticks from outside
 - Clear tape
 - Tissue paper

Now this is how you make them:

First take your roll of toilet paper and carefully wrap your tissue paper around the entire roll. Tuck the tissue paper down in one side of the toilet paper roll. Tape down tissue paper neatly.
Place your stick down in the same side in the toilet paper. You may add any other decorations. We chose to use leaves, berries, and birds but you can do whatever you like.

You can make as many as you like... here is the finished product!

Luis's Pillow & Cushion

Ok, Ok, let me just start by saying that this was our FIRST project we've ever done, and it's not perfect, I'll give you that. Our brother, Luis, has an oceanic theme to his bedroom, so we thought, why not add a touch of what we can do to his room? Anyway, he ended up asking for a cushion and pillow for his desk chair. Teresa agreed on doing the pillow (below) and I chose the cushion (below-below). So... Yeah. This is how it turned out and we did - honestly - the best we could. At least it's comfy, that's all I can say. -Julie-Andi

Teresa did the pillow. She did a pretty good job, considering that it is still as fluffy as it was when she first sewed it. Unfortunately, a couple of her stitches came undone, but she fixed it up quickly, and now Luis uses both pillow and cushion more than we thought he would.

This was my "creation". It used to be WAY fluffier -- so fat, it didn't even come close to proportional to the chair. Now it squished down to a regular size, so now I can say that I did Ok...

And now this is the finished project. Ta-daa!
